Kerala Government mulls GST Act amendment to regulate online gaming and gambling.



The Kerala Government is set to issue an Ordinance amending the State GST Act for greater clarity on taxation provisions concerning online money gaming and gambling. The decision, made during a Cabinet meeting on December 6, aligns with the Union Finance Ministry's move to impose a uniform 28% GST on online gaming, casinos, and horse racing. The State Government aims to address any ambiguity in taxation provisions related to these online activities through the proposed amendment.
